Spring Is In Bloom

So, I'm very proud of myself and I'll tell you why. I am NOT a plant person. Almost every kind of plant I have had has died. Either I water it too much, don't water it enough . . . you name it. I can destinctly remember one year for my birthday, Wendy gave me a beautiful orchid . . . probably one of the most delicate flowers there is to keep alive. I kept it for one day and it started looking bad; I gave it to a lady I work with. (sorry Wendy!) I couldn't bare to watch it die.

Needless to say I am thrilled that this flower I got for my birthday is looking like this!!! Almost three weeks ago and I haven't killed it, in fact it's looking pretty good! This is an azalea, and I have no idea how Julie picked it, but it's awesome! It's my little hint of spring in a world filled with snow, slush and cloudy skies.
I'm not sure how long it will live - I know it won't look like this forever, but until then I'm going to enjoy my GREEN thumb and along with it this springtime beauty.
Thanks a million Jules! Oh, and Jack too!
